Amazing Arborist - My late mother purchased a home that had the yard turned into a rock garden with tons of trees and shrubs. Having spent years trying to tame the yard we found that we were falling further and further behind in the race to tame the jungle. Luckily i found Arborist by Nature and their amazing Arborist, Crystal. Crystal and her team pruned the trees and helped me make the yard absolutely beautiful in just a few days. I have three evergreen trees and one fruit tree that require work every year or so. I used three or four different arborists over the years. Arborist by Nature did the best job AND cleanup after the job than anyone I used before, and in addition were less expensive. I would recommend them to anyone.

Thanks so much to both Crystal and Kris, for helping us out when in a bind as a freak windstorm took down most of our 25 year old Ash tree. We arrived home to discover a precariously split tree, half covering our front lawn and potential for damage to our home with what remained upright. Peggy, who took my call, connected us with Crystal that very day.

Despite Crystal’s jam packed schedule in her high season, she managed to squeeze us in first thing the very next morning to remove all that remained of the poor tree. She and Kris were amazing to watch, while employing full safety gear, showing obvious care and attention to our home and property. They were super fast, also cleaning everything up as they went.

Crystal very kindly insisted on taking a quick peek in our backyard to ensure all there was safe and sound with our many other trees. She shared what to keep a watch for in terms of potential disease and also recommended a tree replacement for the Ash. She and Kris were very professional, kind and great to work with. We look forward to seeing them again for seasonal tree maintenance. Should you ever need a professional Arborist, we highly recommend them!

I want to thank the Arborist by Nature Tree Service team for not only their work in keeping my property and the roadside clean and tidy when all the work was done, but also for their impressive knowledge of the growth habits of the trees and shrubs I called them in for. It is important to me to know that my trees will not be topped unnecessarily, or to have live material cut out during the active growing season. I will be calling Arborist by Nature back again during the trees' dormancy to trim and shape them when it will not cause them too much stress, and will promote healthy growth next year and for years to come.

I had asked for an estimate on a number of trees. It was a surprise to hear Crystal not recommend to service my trees! I received a big quote 2 years ago, from another arborist and since then did some small pruning around where I could reach myself. I figured that Crystal would tell me my trees are way over grown. I found Crystal to be quick and honest in her assessment, she gave me some guiding principles and offered to come look at the trees when they are in full leaf to decide if it is necessary to reduce some weight from the branches. She also re-assured me that my trees are healthy and not necessary to spend thousands of dollars to keep them trimmed.

She gave us honest comments regarding our requests based on her training and expertise. "Arborist by Nature provided tree pruning and hedge cutting services to us this summer (2012). We have some 6-7 large trees and some 100 linear feet of hedges that needed to be worked on. We are very happy with the results. Crystal Whitta, the principal arborist, is knowlegeable, skilful and very personable to work with. She listened to our concerns, explained her plans of actions and gave us excellent advice. She and her assistant took care in executing their job, from using proper technique to thorough clean ups. She demonstrated a deep understanding of a wide range of trees and plants, both cultivated and indigenous, to the local area of Calgary. In the end, it is the results that count. I want to thank Crystal for doing such a wonderful job pruning my weeping birch. I had called three companies for an estimate on my lovely large birch tree. I was very impressed with Crystal - she showed up at the agreed time and date. She was knowledgeable and spent some time with me going over the birch. She also gave me some tips on another tree. She left a written estimate and an approximate date of return. Peggy, from the office, called me to firm up the appointment and a couple of days later Crystal came out. Crystal was here on the date promised with her assistant. She quickly pruned the tree and cleaned up afterward. She had a chipper attached to her truck and everything was done quickly and efficiently. My neighbours came out and enjoyed the show. They asked some questions and Crystal willingly answered them. I am very pleased with everything, from start to finish. Crystal will be back in the fall to prune another tree that now has a robin's nest in it.
